International Repatriation
Repatriation refers to returning of the deceased to their country of origin, which can be either outbound or inbound cases. Agape Bereavement Care will provide a smooth and timely service to bring your loved one back to their hometown or to Singapore. In your time of grief and loss, we want to assist you and your family with the quickest process and options, bringing your loved ones back home at the shortest time possible.
Inbound Cases (Repatriation back into Singapore)
In the unfortunate event that your loved ones passed away overseas, Agape Bereavement Care can help you to repatriate your loved ones back to Singapore. We will arrange the necessary travel arrangements for your loved ones and facilitate the process of repatriation. We will liaise with the local authorities and the funeral directors in the foreign country for you. Our staff will follow through with the utmost professionalism, updating you every step of the way. There are a few key documents that will be required from the process of the import:
(to be filled in)
After your loved one has arrived back in Singapore, we can arrange for a funeral memorial service for your loved ones, depending on the religious beliefs. At Agape Bereavement Care, we believe in helping the families receive closure and to provide the decedent with a dignified send-off.
Outbound Cases (Repatriation out of Singapore)
When a foreigner, unfortunately, passes on in Singapore, there are two options that the family and company can choose from. The first is to hold the funeral memorial service in Singapore and to hold the cremation locally. The second will be to repatriate the body back to their home.
For the first option, a memorial service will be conducted in Singapore, aligning with the religious beliefs of the decedent. Agape Bereavement Care provides funeral planning services and is able to plan a dignified funeral memorial service for the decedent. Cremation will then be held locally. After it, the remains and ashes will be placed in an urn and be transported back home. It will preferably be hand-carried on a plane by a family or friend. If there no close friends or relatives, a courier can be arranged back to their home.
The second option of repatriating the decedent wholly back is more costly and requires additional administrative actions. However, Agape Berevament Care will coordinate and ensure the smoothest processes for you and the family. Our services will begin from the transfer of the decedent from the hospital to embalming and finally, the exportation of the casket.
Both the options are available and will suit different needs. Here at Agape Bereavement Care, we are here to understand your situation better and will like to assist you with your process of grieving as much as possible. Do contact us to understand more about our repatriation packages.
